Is red sticker not allowed? Does color sticker matter? I'll assume they want everyone to run spark arrestors? What do I need to not get hassled to ride here? Thanks.

I 'think' they honor any NV reg/sticker if your bike is from NV. I'm not sure cause I have a stripped dual sport that actually has a license plate/registration so that satisfies their requirements for me. The one USFS LEO is a cool guy & will give warnings or explain it for people he hasn't come across yet, just treat him with respect & he will do the same for you. Technically I think arrestors are required, but I've never seen him hassling anyone over it or checking for them, doubt they even know what the diff is......most people are running FMF type stuff so I don't think you'll have a problem. Will post if we prep mid week.

Sand Pit mx track is GROOMED & WATERED, opens 8a.m. TODAY!
Come pound some laps in the pines,……..who needs the crowds of Mammoth. Clear skies up here with temps in mid 70's all weekend, will be perfect for riding!
If you come ride, please remember to donate $$$ to help us pay for equip operating expenses, this is all done with volunteers who put in a LOT of time & our personal finances to prep the track for everyone. Have a fun & safe Memorial weekend,........& don't forget our Military forces as we all enjoy our Freedoms!!!
I have been told one of the forest service LEO's up here actually checks for spark arrestors, just sayin.

Will you guys be doing a Wednesday practice this week. I've never been up there and wanted to check it out. Thanks I'll post anytime we prep/water the track, both here on 775 & on www.facebook.com/playdirtusa. A regular 'track night' has been nailed down yet with all the volunteers, hopefully it will soon. FYI, the track is always good the very next morning after track night too!

Sand Pit mx track is GROOMED & WATERED,.....will be ready to ride at 3:30 pm tomorrow 5/28!!! Hope a lot of you can make it.
Please remember to help with donations to help pay for track equip operating costs (loader & water truck). VOLUNTEERS work hard to prep the track for ALL of us to have a fun dust free ride night! Also be mindful when being flagged off the track, we run separate sessions for faster riders/big bikes & then for pee wees/slower minis/women to keep everyone safe as possible.

Sand Pit track getting WATERED today. NO grooming, so track will be kind of rough but make for good training laps if anyone needs it. Weather is awesome up here today! Come on up & don't forget the donation box so we can continue prepping the track for everyone. Great mid week practice in the pines!

Sand Pit mx track will be PREPPED & WATERED today! Come pound some laps in the pines!!! Should be ready to ride by 5pm. *****Track needs a lot of work so anyone who can come help today would be much appreciated*****
Remember, just like your Freedom, this stuff isn't 'Free', so please remember to help with donations to pay for equipment operating expenses.
This is a 100% Volunteer effort to prep the track for everyone to ride in the scenic pines & cooler weather of Lake Tahoe, NO one gets paid for working on the prep. Riders pay $130.00 to ride Mammoth, so chipping in $10, $20 or whatever you can afford up here is a heck of a deal.
Big THANKS to Steve A. (water truck driver), Tyson (expert groomer), Brian K (who provides the water truck), & everyone else who makes this fresh track prep possible!!!

Sand Pit mx track will be PREPPED & WATERED tomorrow Wed 7/16/14! Come pound some evening laps in the pines in cooler weather! Track will be ready by 4:30 pm. We need EVERYONE who shows up to ride to chip in what you can afford to help pay for the equipment operating expenses including fuel,.....this stuff isn't 'free'. Lately a lot of people have been showing up to ride with hardly any donations being left to help pay for the track prep. If you can't afford to help with $10 or $20 then just keep riding dust in the desert, because there will be people monitoring the 'donations' tomorrow.
Hope everyone who makes it has a great safe time!

Nevadaside why don't you have a "gate" person every practice night. If you don't "donate" at the gate, you don't ride. Problem solved. Make it $10.00 to rider per person. Make it simple for everyone to understand. If someone wants to give more that's great. For $20.00 they will just stay in Reno and ride Exit 28 on Wed night. How many riders do you average on a Wed night?

Its forest service land, so technically no one can 'collect' anything on site there, this is not a private track. Those of us who take care of the track & the area there are ALL volunteering our time AND $$$ to prep/water the track for everyone to have a dust free evening of riding. If people can afford a 8k-10k bike, all the gear, & a vehicle, they should have no problem affording $10-whatever they can afford to help out with. I personally spent hundreds out of pocket last year to keep the expenses covered, & a few others who help prep the track did the same thing. Its not about whether its 'cheaper' to ride here or there or Reno or whatever, & we are not competing with Exit 28, & we like to keep our deal fun & drama free unlike the northern NV race scene. Our track night is for us guys/gals in Tahoe who love riding AND for whoever wants to come up to cooler weather & ride a fun safe sandy prepped/watered track in the pines. Its just that we prefer to have track night in the middle of the week & Wed is the best day for all of our volunteers usually. Its NOT complicated, just comes down to 'personal responsibility' just like everything else. We are not 'making' $, the 'donations' just help cover equip & fuel so a few of us don't have to fork hundreds out of pocket for others to come ride for free. Just like our Freedom, this stuff ain't free.
Riders can vary from about a dozen to well over 20 or so. Like to see you up there sometime, its a really good time riding & hanging out with everyone in a relaxed environment.

Like to see you up there sometime, its a really good time riding & hanging out with everyone in a relaxed environment. I have rode the South Lake track many times over the last few years. If you have a influx of riders not paying. Don't let those guys come back. So yes, it's not complicated at all. If riders don't pay, they should expect to not come back. I think everyone knows equipment, diesel and water is not free. But make it mandatory to "dontate" before you ride. No donations. No ride. Good luck...
