Dear User:
I created this board for the discussion of motocross and all issues related to it, so feel free to write what you please about these topics here. I strongly prefer not to censor anyone with a semi-thoughtful viewpoint, so feel free to speak honestly about whatever you want. Be forewarned, though, that I won't hesitate to boot anyone who:
--Indulges in threatening or violent language. If you need to know why this is, I believe you're looking for the anger management message board.
--Drags out personal issues. If it's not relevant to the improvement of local racing or at least motocross, it doesn't belong here.
--Brings needless cruelty to a debate. It is OK to post respectful, purposeful critiques. It is not OK to try to hurt someone's feelings by using gratuitous derision. This includes name-calling.
As for profanity, the rule goes like this: if you wouldn't use the same words in front of your eight-year-old niece, you should probably rephrase your post. I'm not too bothered by so-called bad words, but I'd like parents to know their kids won't be steeped in sailor talk when they visit here. When confronted with a questionable post, I will call my eight-year-old niece to gauge her level of offense to the post. Be aware--she's a little squeamish.
In the future, I'd like to start discussions here on the topics of the columns appearing on www.mx775.com, but all other threads are welcome from here on out as well.
So have a good time and write what you will, though you should remember that you shouldn't rely on this administrator to kindly delete the dumb things you write in haste. On this board, the stupid posts will remain, hanging there like an electronic pinata for the more clever among us to smash into pieces.
So think before typing, friends, and I'll see you at the races.
