OK, so I'll admit: for much of the day, my photo assignment went neglected as I spun laps on the track and waited in line for free goggles. As a result, a few of these were even shot by my dad (thanks, dad.) But in the end, there were still a few worth checkin', so here they are: Nick Baugh spun laps on his KX450, and hucked the big double a bunch of times too. Your reporter dodges roost. Not sure who #952 was, but he was on the gas. Josh Galli had meningitis awhile back, but now he's back and ripping up nicely watered turns. Freestyle time. Billy Adams had his YZ85 singin'. Get some, Peanut! The grub line. Cameron Bellamy has been a welcome sight back on the track. Adam "Ad-Rock" Conway's new Liv Fast/56 Solid set-up. Willie Welch must be doing something right, because he's been in my photo features twice in a row. A partly-pink KX? An idea whose time has come. Tony Evans (66) searches for a goggle that will bring out the orange in his KTM. "You gonna do the big double?"

Great pics, Robert. Thanks for the pic of Josh. It's so good to see Joshy back on the bike and on the track, that's for sure. We still have awhile to go on his full recovery, but he's on his way!

Was there very many guys doing the big double at the end of the rythm section? If so did they cut the angle on the take off a little? My son and i was there at the end of practice on Sat when Brian Sjorgen did it twice and Donny Roberts did it. It was HUGE, i think both of them blew a rim or two out.

A handful were hitting it each lap. I never ventured to the right myself, but it seemed pretty easy--once you took the plunge and got the feel for it. It was a booter, for sure.

they must of changed up the lip over night because after practice it was know where close to being easy...but thats good to hear! On second thought, I shouldn't say easy. It took a very good rider to get the combo right. I only said easy because it seemed that once someone figured it out, they could do it consistently and without much trouble. But you still had to survive that first try, which definitely took some skill.

dude after practice the lip was insane! i can honestly say out of anybody that i could call out there to go huck it, i say sjogren and he came in hot! wheelie'in! and still barely cased! donny roberts was 3rd pinned on a 450! and landed like 10 feet short! they had to cut the lip down.

I think the Oakley people were pretty respectful of people who had sponsorship contracts with other companies. They were top notch and the demo was awesome!

Sorry, Les but I disagree....Oakley asked to have there goggles on or not ride. Sure a little kid, I say let him ride but others....Kick there ass to the curb! Fox use to do ride days but got tire of being slapped in the face by people showing up with out there gear on. These ride days are for dealers and a way to say thanks for using and sell our products.

That's fair enough, Layne. I'm not disagreeing with their asking people to not wear another product, but I was told, albet, but someone who may not have had the best info, that last year they allowed people with contracts with other companies to ride with those goggles. Personally, I like Oakley's products and feel that if they are paying for a ride day for me and my loved ones, then I'll respect whatever they ask. I made an ASSumption
