In fairness to Reed, I can think of quite a few seasons where he was a second-place guy but kept on racing hard. He didn't make any excuses, for instance, when he, RC and Stewart had a barnburner SX final at Vegas in '06 but he ended up third (in both the final and in points.) He said he gave it his all and simply got beat.
It's true that he won't hesitate to complain if he feels something's wrong, but I think he's raced long enough and hard enough to have the right. He's still nothing like some GP riders, who historically have been known to park their bikes in front of the gate when they feel a track is unsafe! Now those guys know how to complain (not that I really blame them either.)

I haven't seen too many GP races but all the ones i did see the tracks were insane! Gnarly jumps, huge braking bumps, DEEP ruts all the way up the faces of HUGE jumps. For those guys to park their bikes because the track was unsafe the track must have been pretty bad.

haha you guys didnt like bubbas world? i thought it was sickk.. I'll watch it if it's on, and I like Bubba in general, but I'd still rather see him racing. As for the GP guys, they have a rich history of protest, though the old-school seemed more into it than the new guys (who don't get any purse money.) And their tracks were gnarly--Namur in Belgium had a pavement section and back in the day there was a tree in the middle of the track that riders had to weave around!

Epstein Barr virus has parked a few national riders in the past, Brock Sellers for example. This infection causes your white blood count to Increase dramatically, the result is there are less red cells to carry oxygen to your muscles. It is described as having a never ending flu.
