Who? Were you at G-ville? If you were then you know who Ty is... Well, maybe not know him, but knowing how the event went will tell you alot. What a great one!! It was magnetic, well run, scary good track, good competition, good food, a well controlled public, easy entry, easy out, did I mention magnetic? Good job Ty... However, do not get a big head... It could have been better if everyone was free. No entry, not gate, free food, free rental bikes (ofcourse prime race bikes) and ofcourse a $50.00 bill to everyone who came as they left. Oh, well, life is not perfect. Given all... GREAT JOB TY!!

No offense, but at a profit of $20,000 in just spectator fee's? 2,000 spectators at $10 a head.
Those spectators weren't there to see Ty.
Mark said the MX West books would be always open for public review.
Our current MX West Board put that ad campaign together and got those 2,000 spectators out there with a top quality flier and radio spots not to mention the Coors Light name backing them.
MX West charges $1 per rider per MX West event.
Even if MX West charged $1 per entry at an event, that means MX West made a whopping $272.00 off that entire event despite bringing in over 2,000 spectators from their ad campaign. That's $20,000 in just spectator fee's, not counting race entries, beer sales and concesions and all that's been returned to the MX community out of all that is the at most $272.00 owed fee to MX West for doing all that?
I certainly hope that when we all review the MX West books it shows a whole lot more than just $272.00 from that race going back in.

Tony, it seems to be driving you crazy that in spite of all the negativity out there that MXWest is still successful, Ty can still put on a race that the riders want to ride, and hopefully make enough of a profit to keep it up. And people want to spend their money to go see the race. Good Job guys and girls. racergreg

Tony,
It's getting really old, you continue to slam Ty and NMXD. I'm a big part of NMXD and I take offense of your rants, you were not there at the Ville and really don't have a single clue what went on.
Ty and the entire crew have and always will have one goal, to hold the best events for the riders, their families, and the entire Nor Nev race scene. We worked our butts of for that race, and speaking for myself I put in about 70 hours in 5 days - That is dedication. Oh, for the record - The crowd at the race was the most enthusiastic bunch I have ever seen at ANY local race!
Your claims have no merit, and the real problem in our scene is your cancer. If you really wanted to make things better you would have shown face, got down and dirty and helped out. In my opinion you owe everybody an apology for your negative comments and actions.

I was in the stands, and it was deafening at times. The best was ALL the clapping and cheering for the little racers. The crowd as a whole was clapping and cheering as each one crossed the line. All the way to the last one on the track. That HAS to be a great feeling for them.

I must say Jonny B, I've never heard 'Holeshot Queen' sung to the tune of ABBA's 'Dancing Queen' before ;D
Cat and I got a good laugh out of that one.

Steve,
Truth be known - Mike May and I were jumping up and down and pumping our fists in the air when Cat put it to the boys. For me that was THE highlight of the race, and you had the most goofy grin on your face kid - Did not know if you gonna laugh or cry. You must be hella proud as we all were.
Way to go Cat, you've come a long way girl!

My jaw must have hit the start gate. She just kept that thing pinned!
Thanks for the tire selection, Layne. That Bridgestone 402 grabbed and didn't want to let go from that G-Ville dirt.

It certainly has etched a landmark in my racing for sure!

Thank you NMXD and/or MX West!
$10,000 going back in is far above and beyond what I was expecting, but that's excellant!
Great job of putting back in, great job!
Something like that was exactly what I was in hopes of seeing happen and more than I was expecting.
A $10,000 Pro Purse! That's just crazy for a small local race! Our top local racers who go National Pro and do exceptional in taking top 20 spots in National events probably don't even make that much money!
Thank you, thank you, thank you NMXD for putting a huge chunk of those profits directly back into the sport like that! That's very admireable, and well deserved by the MX West staff who I think worked so hard to make it possible.
Great job, and again thanks for hearing and listening to my concerns and comments, that being your reasoning behind this move or not, you've certainly satisfied my own concerns on the issue above and beyond anything I could have expected and I commend you all on a job well done!

Tony to be honest with you it was not MxWest or NMXD! It was all of us working together and making things happen for the good of the riders. Teamwork is always better than and individual. Get the job done and stop playing games, that is our goal. Also just to let everyone know that NMXD has worn out most likely 20 pairs of shoes to make this happen. I have personally met with Ty here in Fallon at least 5 times in the last week. While everyone else is working at their jobs he is beating the pavement so we can have a great show. There is so much more to making a good event that I never knew about until getting involved.
Profits in motocross - ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Who are you and what have you done with the real 24hour? ;D p.s. Thanks for the thumbs up. Mark said it right. It takes team work but I think Ty needs to look to Nike or Red Wings www.redwingshoe.com/ for a sponsor in the future.
