Ivan Tedesco confirmed early this morning that, for the time being, he will not be on the line at Anaheim 1. On December 3, it was announced that Tedesco had signed with Team Tedder/Monster Energy Kawasaki for the 2013 season. At this time it appears that the deal is no longer in place, and Tedesco will not be at Anaheim 1. Tedesco tweeted the following earlier:
It's going to be weird not lining up at A1 this year. Raced it the last 12 years.
I'm not hurt or retired. It's called unemployed. Haha

Man, if it wasn't for bad luck, that guy would have no luck at all.

His attitude towards racing seems a bit unprofessional on this one.
Saw in another article he is going snowboarding instead as he will "Pay" to do that hobby instead of race for little/no money.
Wish he could come to work with me, just for a week, and see how much I desire and pay to be on the track just for fun after working a real job in really any other profession.
I'm kinda annoyed at the whole racers perceptive right now because at the Reno Truck races a couple of months ago I heard Mcgrath was going to be there. So I blasted out of work early on Friday to go see the practice and see if I could get a jersey signed that I had of his that I have had for 7-8 years.
Well I saw him in the pits/truck by himself not really doing much and way before he had to go out on the track. I asked him very politely to see if he could sign it and his reaction was so awkward I almost said don't worry about it. He made it feel like it was the biggest deal to sign this and stop what he was doing ( i think he was just polishing his helmet) to come over and sign it. I had the pen and everything for him and it took like 1 minute.
I wanted to say to him that I had just finished ripping out a kitchen and ate drywall dust and grease from years of not cleaning to be able to come and buy a practice pass ticket to watch and suport these guys go. Signing something should not be that hard compared to what I do or anybody else does for a living in the non racing world.
I came back to my group of friends and they were stoked I got it and asked if he was cool to talk to. I replied "not at all, he was kinda an a$$ about it" They said the same thing I just said about how the pros jobs are way to easy and they are way to spoiled.
They get this superficial "I'm better than everyone" treatment that only maybe like 50 people in the world get because of there skills. They only do stuff that they get paid on and they forgot that we have to go through all of this on our own dime and just for fun which in turn supports them with a highly lucrative career.
I am now reluctant to even show off my new collectable signed jersey. I also don't feel bad for any of these guys when they say they have to sacrifice so much to get there. They should see what its like on the other side with a real job and a boatload of bills just to survive getting through life let alone race with everything given to you and or paid to use their product.....
So hope Ivan doesn't get anything for the year and they give it to a hard charging privateer who appreciates that his skill is special and has a good attitude about it.

Some forget how lucky they have, they get paid doing what we pay to do. I think Ivan is just tired of his job just like the rest of us get. Trying to find another place to work is taxing and plus being hurt… We all feel the burn out and to not make money working just makes thing worse.
