The weather was most excellent and the track prep was at its finest. It makes me so very proud of our motocross community to step up and offer such support. Whether it was to ride and get some throttle therapy or just to watch and have a hotdog, thank you all!!! The turnout was great. A special thanks to Tim and Krystle O’Brien, Kyle, Sedric, Mike Thompson…Jim Huebner and Greg Stevens for taking photos…
Its what its all about...

Well put. Its rare that my family come out on a practice day. However this was no ordinary practice, it was special. So the whole family loaded up (even the neighbor) and came out to help support our downed ripper,Gavin. It was a great day and nice to see everyone come together. Get well soon Gavin, cause I already miss getting lapped by you.

Any updates on gavin ? never herd how bad he was hurt . Were prayin for him !.After 36 years of lovin this sport I sometimes worry about the direction it had gone. The whole four stroke thing has pushed track builders into building tracks that are much more technical, jumps bigger and further apart(pro as well as local amateur level) over the years i myself have complained of the tracks being to easy not enough big jumps etc. but now that i have kids racing (and hallin ass) Sometimes i get a little freaked out by these tracks. we need a mediator to step in and say "ok thats a litte over the top " so our kids won't cont. to get maimed - some times worse . Lane say ya hear me tho !!!

Rammm, I understand where your coming from. However, from what I hear, Gavin crashed before the big step up,looped out and landed on his back. It sounds like it just got away from him. Some of my worst crashes were on little dinky jumps and some not even jumping at all. The reality of it is, our sport is dangerous no matter how technical the track. We just have to ride at our own risk.

Wow that sounds crazy ! He's a young strong guy Hopefully he'll bounce back just fine ! The liv-fast guy's do a hell of a good job on the track, we cant wait to ride the track when he has the new prop. in affect !!Wasn't trying to bag on LF28. For me watching my boy's trying to get over the bigger jump's has been a wooly experience !

For me watching my boy's trying to get over the bigger jump's has been a wooly experience ! Ram Exit 28's jumps are no bigger than any other "true" mx track. E Street, MMX, Riverfront and Prairie City all have jumps the same size if not bigger. Thankfully Exit 28 does have decent jumps for our kids. Or else they would have no where else to practice them. People always comment on much faster the Cali kids are. It's not the kids, it's the tracks they have to ride that makes them faster.

Agreed ! iv'e always thought the same . Im a 40 pro , rode the pro class off and on when i was younger and i enjoy the Lf28 style tracks and hope my kids will too, but being a dad of a racing kids you gotta feel me when i say sometime watching em on these tracks is a hair-raising experience

Once in a while I will get a little nervous for my son. But it's usually because of other riders around him and not so much his ability. My boy has only raced 5 times so he his still learning. But I understand what you are saying. I think it's just natural to worry about our kids when they are practicing or racing.
