This weekend's race was the best racing at the Fern. that I can remember. That new ClubMX775 really did it right. Two days of racing and depending on your class you got either five motos or four. The admin crew in that yellow bus did it right! Scoring went just as it is supposed to. Those of us who are members of the Sierra Old Timers (based in NorCal) unanimously praised the every thing about the weekend. Ty and his crew did a wonderful job creating a challenging track for all.
A couple of things that I'd call "strange" happened. No 50's, 65's or 85s. As I was told today they were scheduled to have their own races. And, no OTHG Club Riders. Again as I understand the OTHG had a special invite to race and have their own motos and gates for $25.00 a rider. They missed a chance to have a groomed & watered track to race on with no hassle at an unheard of price in this day and age. I know the Sierra OTHG club does that often but they pay a whole lot more at sign up. Ah well, at least I had a great time. The Fernley Old Timers race is the only race, for me, that I can go to then go home at the end of the day, have a home cooked meal and sleep in my own bed and get up and go do it agin and that's a biggie in my book. Oh yeah, the Reno OTHG puts on a comparable race, I forgot. The OTHG National is just as much fun and it's well run too, ya aught to give it a go!

I also don't understand why we did not have more OTHG members and local mx racers at the Oldtimers International. It was a great event. Track was really good. And everything seemed to run very smooth. And the track changes where great. Can't wait for next weekends Fernley race....!!!

Nothing beats having a national in your own backyard. But I'm unsure where you got that info in regards to the Reno OTHG having a special invite, it must of been super special because that's the first I've heard of it. LOL! Never saw an email, mail or been mentioned in a meeting by anyone. Your post made me check their entry form, no OTHG classes on there just a few +30 classes listed. I think a fair amount of the guys are getting ready for the first OTHG national that is the same weekend as Winnemucca's SMRA date. (which is a bummer!) in Oatfield....So, whoever provided you that info was providing incorrect info and its "strange" they would say such a thing without having the facts. Besides what a great weekend to moto!! The weather was excellent... I know I got tons of seat time in!!! And had a blast doing so...

Gearing up for the OTHG National now.

As a 85 parent we chose not to attend purely from our last experience at this track from this club.

Our kids just want to ride. They don't get caught up in all the drama. Hope to see you at the track soon. Glad Jaron is back riding....!!!!

Strange goings on around here lately. I only know what was told to me directly by someone in the know. Too bad though it would have been great to have you guys out there enjoying the weekend with us really old guys! As it was there were only two Reno OTHG guys out there that I could find, LB & me and both of us racing as Old Timers.

First off let's start by saying that I am a acting member of the OTHG and have been to every meeting that the club has had this year. At no time did anyone that represents OTMX or Club MX775 extend a offer to us for a unheard of price or a moto just for the gang. We do our best to show support in the moto community and show our support to other clubs and promoters. The thing that drives me nuts about these kid of post are why dose this kind of thing even need to be said. If Ty and the crew put on a great event. Then say it and leave it at that. If you have any questions about what or what the club is not doing please show up to our meetings on the first Tuesday of every month. We would welcome your opinion. Jason Spicer. .

The Sierra Old Timers would like to thank both Jeremiah and Ty on throwing a very good Nevada Old Timers National. There were only a few issues as there often is and Jeremiah you handled each in a very positive and productive way. As a former Nevada member I became the spokesman for the other oldtimer clubs and I want to thank you and Ty for your hard work. The support riders on Saturday had a great deal as I understand they got to ride 3 motos. The program ran well and the ambulance never moved that I was made aware of. All the oldtimer clubs hope that this race continues to occur. Again Thanks

I raced the OTMX Event @ the Fern this past weekend. Had a lot of fun, things ran very smoothly, track was fast, fun, and a bit humbling, just like motocross should be. A note to those attending this week's race. Don't sweat the small stuff. TAKE YOUR HELMET TO SIGN UP, let them place the transponder in the correct place on your VISOR and wait the whole 30 SECONDS it takes them to test it (any D-36 racers know this system for the past few years..it works). Thanks to the Nevada OTMX and Ty and Jeremiah, and their track and sign-up crew, for a good racing experience.

I had fun. The freeway and the big sweepers were awesome! The high point of the weekend for me was watching Jesse holeshot the second moto on sunday on his little 150sx in the open novice support race.

Gee I thought Lane covered that above. Additionally, I can comment on anything I choose that's why it's called a chat room. What's "what or what" mean in your last sentence? Apparently you haven't read our Constitution i.e. 1st Amendment (December 15, 1791). And lastly, your misinformed a, prominent member of the Nevada OTMX, Club MX775 and I believe Reno OTHG told me about the outreach to the Gang to race and I was questioning why the Gang didn't show. If the statement wasn't true I don't believe the author of the statement would have said it or maybe he had a really and I mean really bad laps in judgement. Jim Patterson, Reno resident and proud supporter of the Nevada OTMX, Club775MX & Reno OTHG as well as the Esteemed Sierra OTMX. Do ya want your Plaque back? I'll mail it back to you if it's that important. My last post on the subject.
