As winter falls upon us and most of you are parking your bikes for the season many of you take up hunting in the off season.
The 300 Winchester Magnum Caliber is the perfect rifle for hunting in this area for everything from Antelope, to Deer, to Elk, or for more adventurous hunts in Alaska for even larger game like Moose, Caribu or Bear. It's also a great caliber for just taking out and doing some extremely long range shooting of turning rocks into dust from over 1000 clicks away. The 30-06 and 7mm Magnum are too small for this variety of use, larger calibers become too large for the smaller game like Antelope and Deer. It's truly the one size fits all caliber capable of safely taking down "Dangerous Game" while still leaving meat on the hoof of smaller animals.
I have two available for immediate sale, or a worked out trade for a Browning Over/Under Skeet gun, preferably a Citori 12 or 20 gauge. Both Guns are brand new, purchased this year, fired less than 10 rounds each to sight the scopes in and just check them out. My intent when purchasing them earlier in the year was to hunt with them, however as the reality of colder weather came upon us I was reminded of my great dislike for being outside in cold weather and find it doubtful I'll be motivated to apply them towards their intended use anytime soon.
The first is a Browning A-Bolt 300 Winchester Magnum, Black with a black composite stock, 27" barrel for maximum muzzle velocity and long range knock down power on an insanely flat trajectory due to the longer barrel length. If you've used other bolt action high powered rifles before you'll really appreciate the Browning design of it's bolt system with half the lift required to toss it open and reload the next cartidge, it's sweet, particularly on scoped rifles where the bolt usualy runs all the way up into larger scopes to open them. It also comes with the Browning removeable magazine, another nice feature of few high powered bolt action rifles. Bare rifle sells for over $730 new. This rifle however isn't bare. It's also been professional gun smith fitted with a very nice $450 Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15X50 Top Quality Scope that brings the flat shooting 300 Magnum projectile into your tight control and complete submission. This rifle also includes the sling, soft case for it and a box of 180 Grain soft point cartridges. Asking $700 total or best offer, that's well over a $1200 value for only $700 OBO.
The second rifle I have available for immediate sale is a Weatherby 300 Winchester Magnum, also new. Black on a Black composite stock and also a high quality firearm. This rifle came as a factory complete package where the scope was included with the new rifle and factory sighted in by Weatherby. They included the factory test target with it showing the very tight 3 round group and Weatherby guarantee of accuracy and tight groups this rifle is capable of firing. Weatherby has not only custom fitted this rifle with it's own factory sighted in Bushnell 40mm Scope but it also includes a sling, hard case, gun lock and factory test target showing it's 3 round tight group ability. I'll also toss in a box of 180 Grain Cartidges with this rifle as well. This factory package would run you about $650, I'm offering it up for sale at only $450 firm.
The intent I had when purchasing both these rifles was to be able to carry 2 rifles firing the same cartridge, the Weatherby sighted in for closer game, the Browning sighted in for those harder to reach further away targets since it's also difficult to predict exactly where your target is going to be when it's time to take it down. The Browning with it's longer barrel length, higher powered scope is also better suited for wide open long range areas where the shorter barreled, lower powered scope Weatherby is better for tight forest and shorter range use. I'll sell both rifles with everything listed above for $1000 firm. Plus toss in ear muffs, a wood case multy caliber cleaning kit and a Magnum caliber rifle shoulder pad that makes firing any large caliber rifle feel like your sqeezing the trigger of a 22 long rifle.
Both rifles shoot insanely tight groups at long range, my Caffeine addicted cigarette smoking shakey body was able to put ALL 10 rounds fired out of these rifles into the small hazard triangle of sand filled 5 Gallon VP Fuel cans from 500 yards away. Large rocks I piled up behind the targets were vaporized by 150 Grain soft point bullets.
I'm a private party seller not a dealer so no "Brady Tax" required for back ground checks here in Nevada like when you buy from a dealer or at a gun show. I do however reserve the right to only sell these firearms to percieved responsible gun owners of legal age. Serious buyers interested in purchasing both rifles and willing to put up a $50 non refundable deposit to cover my time and ammunition are welcome to contact me to make arraingements to go out and test fire these rifles. If you do decide to purchase both of them for the $1000 price then your $50 will apply to that cost.
Private Message me here if your interested, don't post for protection of your own privacy. In most cases since I travel all over the area daily anyhow I'll likely be able to bring these guns to you for inspection.
