Team Makita Suzuki's Ricky Carmichael crashed out of the lead in the first moto today at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, suffering an injured shoulder that ended his day and possibly his season.
Carmichael will not take part in the second moto and has left the Glen Helen facility to seek medical attention. He will then fly home to Florida for more evaluation with his doctors. At that point a decision will be made as to whether or not he can compete in the upcoming Motocross des Nations in England.
Carmichael was leading Kawasaki's James Stewart at the time of the crash, with Stewart securing the victory after Carmichael's departure.
Meanwhile, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto wrapped up the Lites Championship today with his moto-one victory over KTM rival Mike Alessi.

Scott Taylor from Fox, who is with RC right now and RC was saying "relax people!"
He needs an MRI tomorrow. X Ray clean.
He's flying home with KW on schedule, will be very sore a few days, and expects to be ready to race.
RC says, don't give up.
