After hearing about Robert getting hurt and seeing many of you injured participating in the sport we all love this weekend it was my turn. Due to heavy dust, and I thought I was far enough away from the corner, I was hit during the MRANN event outside of Yerington. No one's real fault as neither of us could see the other until it was too late. After being flattened, by a glancing blow, I was on the ground and realized that my left leg wouldn't move. Not that gets your attention. The responders and medics were great as was the staff at the South Lyon County Medical Center. After four hours and X-rays, not to mention the attention of a really good lady doc, I came back to the race with an almost full length brace on my left leg. Getting into my small car must have been quite funny to those watching. Now will find a doc to see me today. Nothing appears broken but I might have torn ligaments. Don't know how long I'll be out of work. Still I can stand on the leg and with the help of a cane I had, actually get around although slowly. Now when I go to races I'll need to find a safe place to stand for the photos. So for those that have been injured, well I can say I feel you pain, even though it wasn't much. Guess I too have entered that group of motorcycle people that have been injured doing something we all love. Take care everyone and ride safe. I'll be hobbling along for the next little bit. Sorry to hear it, Dan. Get well soon and stay out of that dust at the desert races.

Darn desert races! They'll get ya every time...LOL. I told Ziggy at RMS that I'd ride a desert race as soon as the water truck makes it all the way around the course. Dan remember trophies are temporary but scares last forever. Chicks dig scares.

Oh Dan, that's why I gave up photography and started riding more. Its just to darn scarry to be on the side of the track like that. Buy a new bike. All the gear and ride, its safer. Anyway, heal up. We need you! Bob716SR

Next time I'm going to use the longest zoom and stand back a lot more. Anybody got a Hummer I can use as a barrier? Or maybe one of those 200-400 zoom lenses Nikon loaned me at the Air Races. Thanks for all the kind words and yes, I'll be back. Can't give up on the love of one's life.
