If you could only have one bike for the rest of your life what would it be? For me it would be a 2006 Yz125 for three easy reasons, Maintenance, cost of maintenance, and Fun Factor.

It would be my '06' KTM 250sx. It's light (208lbs), plenty fast and easy to work on. Not that it ever needs any work. My '01 has 800 races on it and still has the stock ring and clutch. Actually it's all stock. All I have done to it is change tires, chains, sprockets and air filters. Oh, I put new plastic on when I crashed and put white marks in them.

I like my '06 CRF450 as far as performance goes, but you can't beat the maintenance factor of my '83 CR480. Since it has no radiators, valves or cams, you can change the top end in the time it takes to water a plant.
So I'd plant that simple, brutish workhorse of a motor into the wonderful brakes, chassis and suspension of my 450. How hard could it be?

Hey, anyone out there ever seen Robert race that old 83 CR480!! Some people have said he's faster on it than he is on his 06 CR450! I don't think so, but frankly its close. He's taken that old bike to two world championships. (Robert, don't delete this post, its Fathers Day.) Bob716SR

I've seen him ride it, I also haven't forgotten he once promised to let me ride it as well and I've still yet to ever toss a leg over it. He's alot faster on the new bike though, only time I've ever seen him faster and spank the entire pro class was though of course the time he rode my CR250 to do so.
