I just went onto the Sierra Motocross website to look at the schedule for Spring. There is nothing there. No schedule posted. I have not received a flyer in the mail.
So, my question is, if nothing is posted and nothing has been mailed, exactly how is it that E-Street walked on an SMRA date?
I'm not taking sides...but there is a lot of name calling and B.S. that goes on here, and now it's being said that E-Street is walking on an SMRA date, I just don't see it.
Everyone needs to STOP going negative. Our sport has been nearly destroyed in Nevada. It's time to rebuild. The only way to rebuild is to quit bad mouthing promoters and organizations.
Who cares if E-Street puts on a couple of races at Stead! It gives our kids a place to race. Isn't that what it's supposed to be about? Ya know, THE KIDS! Not the B.S. politics.
The only Nevada schedule I've seen so far is the 5 races Silver Peak has posted and now the one race E-street has posted. I would imagine that SMRA will eventually come out with 8-10 races for Spring, who knows when that will be posted.
Anyway, I'm pretty sick of the whole mx scene in Northern Nevada. Until some people figure out that they are doing twice the damage to our racing than good whenever they post something bad about a promoter, it's not going to get better it's only going to get worse.
It's unfortunate that a few people can ruin it for everyone!

Your point is well taken, at least with me. I sure wish everyone would look at the sport they apparently love and get on with the rebuilding rather than the backbiting.

Insider information! The race schedule for the SMRA has not yet been "officially" released yet. Someone who knows about the race posted about it before it has been posted on the web site yet. This is why I don't post races to the calendar before they become "official". The SMRA meeting is the third wednesday of the month. I think the schedule should be posted after the meeting.

Sorry Larry but that someone was me!
Yes I posted the race due to getting the schedule in advance. The point I was trying to make it that believe it or not. Northern Nevada has been working together to not step on each other and then SD comes over and just makes a race date without even talking to anyone over here. SPMX even included him in the series. He knew there was a schedule out for SPMX and he knows there is SMRA. Why can't he at least try and work around the local sanctioning bodies? I feel it would of been a good gesture if he communicated with the sanctioning bodies over here a bit better about schedules. The other post was not intended to slam his series! It was intended to send a message to him that Stead is my favorite track like it is for others. That maybe if he scheduled races around the local races here then more people will go to his Stead race. It is not a hard concept to understand!

FOR THE RECORD........Silver Peak wanted t use Estreet (Stead Race) as part as their winter/spring series and they knew about this race over a month ago, BUT, our local promoter threw a hissy fit and threatened not go with any sanctioning body in Northern Nevada who "supported another promoter other than himself" at Stead. What ever happended to, "it's all about the riders"?

IEveryone needs to STOP going negative. Our sport has been nearly destroyed in Nevada. It's time to rebuild. The only way to rebuild is to quit bad mouthing promoters and organizations. Now that the New Year is here, will you promoters bury the hatchet and put on some great races without all the "he said - she said"? Just got back from racing in Southern CA and it was nice, there were plenty of racers and promoters and guess what...there was no drama! I dont get it....When is it enough? Why continue egging it on? It cant always be about the riders when comes to the business end of being a promoter. Being a promoter is a business and can effect a persons lively hood. How would you like something that would affect your way of life?

Let me explain a bit more what I am trying to say here. Yes, thanks to all for bringing races here but we now have two groups working together for not only the riders but the promoters also. All I am trying to say is Scott needs to get on board with everyone here also about scheduling if he is going to have races here. It is his choice or not but I feel it would be better for promters and riders if he did. Here is a post from January 4th by dirtcat!
"Last night was a very productive night in selecting dates along with Sierra and the area promoters. Sierra also has a very good schedule to come out. Many thanks to where both organizations worked together to not run over each other. Our intent for Silver Peak is simply that to work with Sierra with dates and both chiseling out a fair schedule.
Times, camping, and specific info etc. will be posted ASAP along with mail flyers to come with this information as well."
