I've been actually looking forward to racing this race. I know everyone complains about the jumps at Lovelock, but seeing as how I usualy don't do all the jumps unless I'm in a battle for a top position the jumps aren't that big of a deal to me and the Lovelock track does have plenty of spots on it you can make up for not jumping on by being able to open up on, not to mention they always hold a good event logisiticaly wise.
First holeshot in my life I got at Lovelock.
We don't get to race at Lovelock very often either and despite the jump issues which can be fixed and may have been, it's a big track which I love!
My hotel room was already paid for, and I went to pull off at the Fernley exit on my way to gas up and discovered I had no brakes in my truck all of a sudden at 8PM Saturday night on my way.
I was so looking forward to that race as well seing as how it was the first big full size track I was going to be able to race this year since getting insurance again.
I hope everyone who did make it had a great and safe time!

Can somebody PLEASE tell me what I just heard isn't so! ?
This has to be a pathetic exageration but I was just told not but 15 minutes ago that the Lovelock race turnout only had 60 entries?
Has there ever been a race in this area with a turnout even close to that low?
That's just wrong, what I've been told can't be right. There had to of been more people than that who just showed up by mistake out driving around lost in the desert that day and from heat stroke paid for an entry not even knowing what they were paying for.
200 rider turnouts at an event lately has been good by current standards as bad as that is for the promoter and the racers, but a 60 rider turnout barely even covers the cost of filling up a water truck one time.
Someone tell me this isn't so?
