They are a guide line to use for a general idea of what your bike or car is worth at trade-in value and retail!
Do I smell something green for sale, perhaps looking for blue??? ;D

Mr. Tyler.... Another web site to check on the value of your bike is www.nada.com. A great place to check and compare prices is www.Cylce Trader.com. Got a great deal on a RED BIKE, I know, you're looking for a Blue toy. )

Kelly you got the right idea. I am going to sell my kawis and be an all two-stroke rider until after Dodge amatuer national then after that I will look into a 2007 blue thumper.

Don't dump your two stroke yet, wait till the 4 strokes come out fuel injected which should make them easier to start and not leave you as one of those guys who was in first place, stalled his bike out and spent the rest of the race on the side of the track trying to get the thing started.
Blue book value is a joke as well.
I've found the best place to sell an old bike is on a web site like ebay, not localy.
Post in the auction your only interested in selling the bike localy, if anyone else wants it shipping will be 100% their baby to deal with.
Set a low minumum for the sale price on the bike, but be sure to watch your auction closely. If in the last 15 minutes of your auction the bike some how doesn't take what you want for it cancel the auction and just claim there was new information about the bike you only recently discovered. Dab nab it, there was a scratch on one of the foot pegs you neglected to note and didn't feel you were offering bidders an honest description of the bike because of that.
Put new plastic and new graphics on the bike though and on ebay you won't have to worry about any of that, including their agreeing to handle all the shipping.
My best example was a 98 CR80 I bought for $600 in 2005. It had no graphics and all the plastic was spray painted to "look good". On ebay I got all new plastic and an Nstyle graphics kit for it totaling $50. With $650 invested in that bike, my nephew rode it for a year and it resold on ebay with 5 biders for $2,000 to a guy in Alabama who had to of paid atleast another $300 to get it crated and shipped there.
He got the bike and a week later left me wonderful feedback.
Be careful though, I also even though specifying US only and only local shipping got many offers from scam artists in places like Africa who would obviously have to pay thousands in just shipping so common sense was an easy factor in determing if someone in Africa wants to pay $2000 for a 98 CR 80, it's probably going to cost them another $2000 just in shipping, somethings wrong with that picture.
Ship nothing till that check clears the bank and you have actual cash in hand.
When selling anything on ebay always use paypall for at least a deposit.
Never, ever ship anything to a person you've sold to with anything other than UPS and make sure you have your tracking number.

Fuel injection will not change a thing in starting a 4 stroke with out proper maintenance. Valve adustment! Valve adjustment! That is the key to 4 strokes!
