I am very new to riding and am a very logical type person. I cant seem to get my mind around the whip. It seems like the people who can whip really far arent even landing staight. Ive hit a couple jumps where my bike drifts a little in the air and I dont land straight and almost eat it. So How do I get the bike to move even further on purpose and land straight? Any insite on a whip would be nice. I think its the next step to riding for me.

Haha well this prob ain't gunna help much but the bigger the whip the easier it is to bring back unless u get a Lil nasty on the lip then you might have to struggle a Lil to bring it back I do all my whips on the face of the jump, as your coming up to the face start to lean an the bike should kick out from under sorta speak, but every whip is different as well as every jump. An def needs some practice they dnt just come to you in a week it takes yrs to perfect an everyone does em different. As for landing sideways yes sometimes you do, but there is a point where it is too sideways and yes wrecking usually occurres haha.. Another thing I like to b on the gas all the way up the lip an use a whip to scrub speed off.. That's the easiest for me anyways the faster you go the nastier the whip When your flat it's like a gyro affect it just brings u back but please dnt go an try flat the first time build up to it. Also try an b loose an fluid on the bike all one easy motion... Hope that helps srry for the grammar issues I txt a Lil haha

so I just need to lean on the face of the jump and everything else does it by itself, I have a feeling its going to take me a long time to get this down, I am not that trusting

I think the best jump to learn off of is the step up at 28... the way i learned was hitting a jump the wasn't excatly straight because as you carve the lip (weither if its agressive carve or not) your already a litte bit sideways. After your hit the take off turn your bars the way you want to whip. (i.e. whip right, turn right whpi left, turn left) It wont be to big at first but it will start giving you the feeling of whats going to happen. The main thing is WHIP THE WAY THE TRACK GOES. As you get better you'll start scrubbing and so on and so on. hope this helps a little.

Just turn right or left on the face of a jump then lean one way or another and everything should work out.
