Just want to hear some opinions. . . Who is predicting the front runners in the 250 class and in the 450's come January? Discuss. Just for the record I think grant will surprise, as well as short. .in the big class. . . And I'm betting roczen and tomcat will make some strides in the little class.

No surprises, really:
450 Villopoto Reed Dungey Stewart Brayton
250 Wilson Baggett Tomac Roczen Barcia
My wild cards for each class are Metcalfe and Weimer (450) and Durham and Bogle (250).

Robert, are your picks in the order you think they will finish or just top five in no particular order? Just curious.

I didn't have an order in mind when I wrote them -- especially since the 250 guys will be on different coasts -- but I don't see much problem with the 450 order, now that I think of it.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the 250 class and the east/west. I was more referring to the 450's when I asked that question.
I agree with your list for the 450's. I just found it interesting that you have Stewart so far down, I don't necessarily disagree, I think he is a total wild card. Meaning he will either be first, last. or crashed. It will be an interesting season for sure.
My hopeful as it is every year is WINDHAM, always pulling for the old man in the sport. Hands down the best role model the sport has.

I had the same thought with Stewart. I do think he will win races, but when it comes to the series standings, he hasn't shown enough consistency lately to rank higher. The other top guys are just as fast and don't seem to throw it away as often as he does. That said, if his head is on straight, he could just as easily take it all. Should be fun to watch either way.

I would add Canard to the top 4.
Maybe RV, Reed, dungey, Canard, Stewart.
Would love to see Windham take a few wins.

This will be a make or break year for Stewart. No more excuses. Time to leave it all on the track. I am a JS fan but the BS stops this year. One thing I will say in his favor. I have never watched a rider be able to come from dead last back into the top 5 like Stewart does. When JS is on he is hard to catch.
I think both Ryan's and Reed are as fast as JS but none of those three will take the chances that JS takes. I guess that is what makes it exciting to watch. You just never know what is going to happen at any given second of the race.....
I hope everyone stays healthy this SX season so we finally see who really is the fastest man on a dirt bike........!!!!!
