So sorry to hear this, Josh. I'll keep him in my thoughts.

....and the rest of the clowns should get fired! I'm with you on this. There were a lot of sub-par rides turned in today.

If Obamacare gets through... Motocross will not exist as we all know it and love... The only hope we have is "true health care reform". Not likely, I'm sad to write. But , oh God, I can still wish... When Robert had his bad year, they pushed hard to get him to say he was racing. Well fortunately, we were not. Just crazy accidents. However, if they did get him or find out he was racing, no coverage. I'm glad he was not racing at the time. Knowing him, he would have just told the truth. If you know him, you know he would... Bob716SR Not exactly true. I looked into the clauses in my insurance, and the insurance agents said it would have made no difference had I been racing. That's not true of every insurance though.

I'll second that. I think he's turned in a solid effort this year. He made SX interesting, and then came and rode the outdoors when he obviously didn't have to...and won. Good on him.

I would have edited the post sooner, but I didn't read it until this morning.
As I've said many times, it is OK to be critical on this site so long as the complaints are relevant and respectful. Most of the points raised in the original post didn't meet that criteria in one way or the other. Still, it's my policy not to edit more than that. Most of what has been since has been positive and corrective, so I've let it stand.

The track prep issue is relevant to this site, but most of the rest isn't.
I've edited the post accordingly.

I didn't catch the yelling, but the track was good. I'll have to agree with Josh on the schedule though--the order shifted unexpectedly at least once, and I would have preferred shorter practices. They seemed to be going about 30 minutes, but each practice tended to thin out about halfway through (it was pretty hot.) There seemed to be a little more downtime for each class than there needed to be.
Still, the track was well-prepped and fun. We got some ruts in the turns and the jumps were all safe (even the step-up.) I'll definitely give it another try sometime. And it was good to meet you, Harvie.

Cool video, Josh.
I'm going to head out Wednesday to check the place out. Until now, all the practices have been on work days for me. I'll have to talk to them about that.

Roughness is OK, but a lack of basic prep is a problem. No one should pay to ride on something that hasn't received a little love in the form of water and some basic maintenance.
For the record, I haven't been at Mustang this week so I'm not commenting on them in particular--just the general nature of what should be expected at an organized practice.
