Southwick Motocross 338 would like to sincerely thank all the past riders, their families, and all the sponsors for the past 41 years for all the support and friendship we have received. It is with great sadness that Southwick Motocross 338 has ended. We will always have the fond memories that have changed our lives. I would like especially to thank all the past employees who through their efforts made Southwick Motocross 338 a pro national level track for New England.

Saw this on Vital a couple days ago. Bum deal! Bad deal to see such a track with so much history be shut down! Weird you saw it a few days ago, since it was only posted yesterday.. either way bad deal. From what I understand is a land owner issue with the promoters. Heard a rumor that someone at Factory Connection is trying to get the owner to come to a lease agreement with them to reopen.

Via vital, they are having issues with the parking. There is a meeting on the 27th with the original owner in hopes to make a deal with the school by it to keep the track running. "The next meeting with town and school officials is set for January 27th. If the land issue is resolved at that meeting, work will begin as soon as the ink is dry on the land lease with the school. The reality at this point is if an agreement is reached quickly, there will likely be time to hold a few races later in 2014. Since the scheduling of NESC and NEMX races could not wait for this issue to be resolved, it is hoped they will be able to fit at least one Southwick event into their 2014 schedules with a return to a normal schedule in 2015. If there are additional delays it is possible there won’t be any races until 2015." Southwick has a good chance of pulling through!
