I want a little more stopping power on my 250f will an oversized rotor help with that? Are there any other options that will help me?

EBC Oversize MX Front Floating Disc Conversions = AWESOME! www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle.html#A cheap fix to keep the stockers working well. Get some 400-600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and lightly sand the surface of the rotor removing the glaze or shine. Use the sandpaper wet, NOT dry, and don't put too much pressure on as to warp or cause dips in the rotor. Warping or dips will cause the front brake to pulsate or lockup inappropriately so be careful. Spray off the entire brake assembly with Brake or Contact cleaner when your done. Doing this will cause your brake pads to wear slightly faster but it should help the stopping power too.

Thanks Steve, I never thought of doing that and now that I am using more front brake, it does not seem like there is enough. I will give this a try!

There are many different ways to improve the front brake. 1. Change the front pads to a softer material. EBC and Braking offer many different compounds to offer better performance that you might be looking for. Keep in mind softer pads will wear out faster, but offer more bite. 2. Changing the brake fluid. Many top riders switch there brake fluid out to the Motul racing series, this brake fluid is able to handle extreme conditions without any fading. 3. Different brake line will also help. Ride Engineering offers them for all bikes. 4. Braking and EBC both offer oversize rotor kits. I have used them both with great luck. A bigger front rotor will give you a huge improvement in your braking, you will also get a better feel with more control.
I hope this helps.....
