The site is, www.nvracingnews.com. Please like it and share it if you do. Those numbers do count. See you at the Sandbox GP.

This week's preview article on my site has not only where racing will be in our area but where you can see two AMA flat track races Thursday and Friday evenings. (Hint, the internet.) Also have a note for anyone wanting to send in a pre entry for this year's VCGP. And where Supercross can be seen live or tape delayed Saturday evening. The site is, www.nvracingnews.com.

Hi folks. Just got through posting this week's TV preview on both the website and fb page. I've included how you can watch the practice sessions leading up to Anaheim 2 as well as take an animated tour of the course today if you wish. The site is, www.nvracingnews.com and the Face Book page has the same name without the dot com of course. Should be a heck of a race.

Interesting post and comments. I too have watched the rider count drop way off after building up for years. I can remember when we crossed the 300 rider count. Thought the scoring crew was going to commit mass suicide that day! The melt down cut the count as did the split. Never would I have ever thought a sanctioning body would cancel a season, just glad the OTHG stepped up and had at least one race. Now MRANN has opened the door and invited people that want to race one more time this year. Hopefully some of you will take them up on their offer. I'm also hearing about those that would rather practice then race. It's competition that really hone's a rider's skills as you're really trying to beat the guy or gal ahead of you. Nothing beats that kind of excitement. Looking ahead I've heard that there will be racing. Hope so anyway. I only wish all three existing tracks and promoters can start working together for the good of the sport. When Big Rich was around I found myself covering a vibrant sport, full of color, excitement and more than a few characters. And they liked racing here better than over the hill. It will take some work but I think we can return to those days although some will have to step up while other bury the hatchets they've been carrying for a long spell. I see the Pee Wee classes and beginner classes are still drawing and those are the future of motocross. Hope the new year brings more riders out and racing can return to what it was. Finally, thanks to Mr. Moto for his advice and to you Robert for keeping this site going. BTW, Robert what are you doing Sunday. How about coming to the MRANN event and at least watch it. Think you'd enjoy seeing desert racing. Hope to see some of you Sunday, I'll be there.

This weekend will be MRANN's final race of the season. And it's paved all the way to the pits! Not only that but you will pass the lowest priced, or almost, gas stations in the region going to and coming from the race site. The Nightingale exit off I-80 east is only about 15 minutes or so past Fernley. Once off turn right then left onto the old highway. When you run out of pavement, around six miles later, you'll be there. Should be a great time and if it rains Friday night, and maybe into Saturday, once again you'll find epic dirt. And it can be a fun time, don't believe me ask Layne Kolbet. And in the photo you might see his 366 on the left side. I'm attaching the flyer and notice that MRANN will give you a free one-day card. So come on out and make it a fun day. Best of all, you'll probably be finished with Sunday's big bike race by 2 p.m. Hope to see al of you out there.

Robert has written about how this month is a dull one for many MX riders and racers. Well there is still two more races yet to go. That is in the MRANN series. And if you mentioned the attached flyer they'll give you a free, one-day card to compete. Layne Kolbet had a blast at the recent Moon Rocks event so now everyone can choose either one or two races. The Gold Diggers will be in Winnemucca, actually a bit north of it, this weekend. Then the following weekend the season ending event is east of Fernley off the Nightingale exit on I-80. And it's paved all the way to the pits. So you all have two changes to liven up this November and try a different for of racing. No doing just a few laps but maybe over an hour of steady, fast riding. Want to put some excitement before Thanksgiving, give MRANN a try. You might really like it.

First of all want to thank the OTHG chapter for putting a great day of racing on Sunday. Managed to miss the hurricane on Saturday. Really enjoyed it. Now of course my article ran in yesterday's internet version of the Daily Sparks Tribune, make that one word and put "dotcom," at the end then open up sports. This August I also started a racing news website and just posted the article. A bit delayed but it's out. You can access that at, www.nvracingnews.com and please hit the like button if you do like it and share it as much as you can. We're slowly building readership and Google keeps track of this. Take care everyone and hope some of you will give desert racing a try this weekend at MRANN's Moon Rocks event. Always a fun time during their Halloween event.

If he wants to get in more racing this fall I'd suggest two events. MRANN will be at Moon Rocks this Saturday, when the Mini Bikes, like your son races, will go. Weather might be a bit iffy but motocross is run in just about any kind of weather. And the course is short enough he can get more gas if needed. MRANN is also giving away free one-day cards the event. Even Layne Kolbet is going to try it on Sunday. Always a fun time and I'd highly recommend it. Then later in November there will be another MRANN race out at the Nightingale exit and once again it's a Saturday race for the kids and MRANN is also giving out free one-day cards. Please come and try this, races are longer than motocross and a whole lot of fun.

Hi Folks: NASCAR created a new streaming service for the series that Fox isn't showing. Right now they are broadcasting heats from the AMA Grand National races. You need to go to www.fanschoice.tv. Got to go have a race to watch.

Boy was I surprised when I got to the track about noon Sunday. Had some car issues to deal with before I left but knew it was blowing harder out there than in Reno. Never ever seen outhouses blown over so I think the decision to cancel was a good one. Didn't need to have riders blown off the track when they are flying over jumps. In fact, while years ago a race was canceled at Fernley due to the snow being at handlebar height, this is the first time I know of when wind caused the race to be scrubbed. So this week the racing article, in the Daily Sparks Tribune, will be a profile rather than a report on an event. Just glad everyone is safe. And even though I know it was hard, kudos to the club for doing the right thing.

Hmmm, tear offs lying on the ground. If you think motocross is bad try going to an oval track sometime, especially if sprint cars are running. If its dirt, the guys are going through a lot of those and even Indy Car and F-1 drivers use them. Sounds like another government idiot is trying to enlarge their kingdom again. Here's another useless battle to get involved in and once again it will probably take Congress to do something. Like they've got nothing better to do right now.
