1. Ryan Villopoto earned $227,790 in purse money. This includes the $100,000 series-end bonus from Feld Motor Sports for winning the title. This is purse money alone and doesn’t include base salary from Kawasaki and Villopoto’s sponsors or win bonuses. However, guesstimating the average bonus package, Villopoto made roughly $700,000 in win bonuses and at least $1 million for winning the title. That equates to around $1,927,790.
2. Villopoto’s teammate, Jake Weimer, earned $25,760. This includes a $8780 series-end bonus for finishing inside the top 20 in points. This is purse money alone and doesn’t include base salary from Kawasaki and Weimer’s sponsors or placement bonuses. Jake Weimer missed ten races during the series.
3. The difference in purse winnings between teammates Ryan Villopoto and Jake Weimer is $202,030.
4. The most attended race in the series was Atlanta, at 69,785 spectators. East Rutherford was second, at 62,217 people. St. Louis was third at 60,213 fans. The least attended race? Las Vegas, at 35,509.
5. The cumulative number of spectators for the 17-round Supercross series was 872,370.

A couple of things that I'd call "strange" happened. No 50's, 65's or 85s. As I was told today they were scheduled to have their own races. And, no OTHG Club Riders. Again as I understand the OTHG had a special invite to race and have their own motos and gates for $25.00 a rider. They missed a chance to have a groomed & watered track to race on with no hassle at an unheard of price in this day and age. I know the Sierra OTHG club does that often but they pay a whole lot more at sign up. Ah well, at least I had a great time. The Fernley Old Timers race is the only race, for me, that I can go to then go home at the end of the day, have a home cooked meal and sleep in my own bed and get up and go do it agin and that's a biggie in my book. Oh yeah, the Reno OTHG puts on a comparable race, I forgot. The OTHG National is just as much fun and it's well run too, ya aught to give it a go! Jim, that's awesome you had such a great time! Nothing beats having a national in your own backyard. But I'm unsure where you got that info in regards to the Reno OTHG having a special invite, it must of been super special because that's the first I've heard of it. LOL! Never saw an email, mail or been mentioned in a meeting by anyone. Your post made me check their entry form, no OTHG classes on there just a few +30 classes listed. I think a fair amount of the guys are getting ready for the first OTHG national that is the same weekend as Winnemucca's SMRA date. (which is a bummer!) in Oatfield....So, whoever provided you that info was providing incorrect info and its "strange" they would say such a thing without having the facts. Besides what a great weekend to moto!! The weather was excellent... I know I got tons of seat time in!!! And had a blast doing so...

I guess i might be old school. But im one that thinks these jumpfest tracks lately are junk. People are getting hurt , yes its a dangerous sport but some of the sections are nuts. I think they should cut out at least 25% of the jumps. Make tracks a little more turny. What do you think? Tracks haven't changed much in the last 23 years or so, but the motorcycles have become leap years ahead of where they were...The suspension has evolved it's hard to put it all down in words, soon springs on the shock and forks will completely be a thing of the past.... Then stop and think of the just the different power the four stokes make compared to where they started, they provide smooth tractable power that hooks up better than the old two strokes. To get those beast to hook up there was lots of different ignition changes and flywheel weights, not to mention all the jetting issues! 1991 Anaheim....

PLEASE put in some LONG straightaways. PLEASE! I want to see the top end of 5th gear on my 250sx. BRING BACK THE FREEWAY!!! Remember more turns than jumps. Jumps are BORING, berms are fun! Christ!!! Larry, there isnt enough room for you to get your bike into 5th gear! Maybe you should just ride it up and down I-80 or regear it and put 74 tooth rear sprocket on. Then you could prolly start in 5th gear and never have to shift!
